Location: Baltimore | I've been to a number of music stores in my area, and Ovations are not displayed anymore has anyone seen this. The used ones all had cracks in the tops. The salesman said that it was because of the plastic back it prevents the top from moving.I've had Ovation for a long time, and never had this happen to me.Has onyone seen this in your music stores. |

Location: Warren,Pa. | I think Baltimore must have a ban on Ovations. I see them around.
Cracks were common over time with the old models...probably due to the extreme thickness of the finish. Not an issue any more.

Location: Utah | The local mom and pop store carries lower end O's. The Guitar Center carries a rotating variety, sometimes fairly nice. Not a high end O or A anywhere to be seen. |

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ | Music stores are going to stock products that sell, and offer the most profit. They may carry some older popular models for the purist, but its a business, like any other. With all the guitar manufacturing done in China these days, I'm sure we'll see many changes in the stores in the next few years. |

[so is "Adami" the correct plural for "Adamas"? Or Adamases?] |

Location: closely held secret | Apple carries Adamii stock now? Maybe I'll have to check them out again (except I hate driving in downtown Portland). The last time I was in there was the day I bought my 'new' 95 Ultra 1517D. |

Location: Canada | Same here. Very difficult to see any Ovation USA models. Canada's largest chain considers them "Special Order" only and only carries a couple of Celebrity models. |

We're actually more of a trading nation. We export raw material, raw talent, and raw brains. Import finished products and ideas. There's only about one nation with which we have enough trading difficulty that we need laws and courts to keep things working....... :p

(P.S. please don't tell anyone we're your largest foreign source of oil. It's kinda off most folks radar at the moment.....) |
