This is a ways away from where Miles is, but if you're making a trip up for more than a few days, maybe another option for you.

If you've never been to The Gorge in George, WA, you're missing an experience. Consistently Voted the #1 outdoor venue in America. Dates for shows this year have not yet been announced.

I come to see at least 5 shows a year here, 3 are usually for the Labor day weekend with Dave Matthews. My friend gets first dibs at these seats for every show.

From one of my favorite shows...

The Gorge:

The seats:

Eddie:

Stone:

Mike:

The band:

Too many Fenders in my opinion. McCready tucked us all into our sleeping bags with a medley of Yellow Ledbetter/Little Wing/Star Spangled Banner. It was unbelievable! I have it in mp3 (yes they recorded it!)

I expected to see some hippie looking types, like my daughter and her boyfriend who went there for several concerts. I assume the bar or the potties were off to the right of the first picture, cuz it looks like everyone's standing in line.

Ha! That's Labor day weekend with Dave Matthews Band. I'm at all those shows too, and have some pretty sweet pics of those shows too. I've just been lazy to get 'em up on the web.

Besides, he plays too many Taylors... no roundbacks.

Holy sheep shite!

I just found this pic on the Seattle PI site (local newspaper). Pic 16 is me taking these pics. too funny. I'm the big dude on the right with my tiny Nikon with a 10x zoom. My concert camera, easy to sneak in.

He got some of the same shots I did. I think this is the photographer. Ha! Take a pic of me, I'll take one back!

And one more for fun. My buddy and I up front. Yes, there were many beverages consumed by this point.

That's the trick to really good audience participation.
