Some deals are just too good to pass up! :D The manager says it's flawless except for some pick scratching and comes with an Ovation hardshell case.

Elite 1868

When this shows up, my wife is gonna kill me, but maybe I'll at least die happy!

Nice! I'll go $225, but not a dollar more.

ANY US Ovation for $199 in good condition is a deal...especially a "pre-Fender" one! Congrats!

Got it Wednesday. I admit to having my reservations about Guitar Center, but I can't fault the store that sent this guitar to me. If anything, the asst. manager's description of the instrument's great condition was an understatement. And it arrived overnight to boot! It has one extremely tiny ding on the top and one on the headstock. That's it. It looks new otherwise. The action is fine, though I still may pull one shim out. The tone is excellent for a SSB. Intonation is spot on.

I put fresh Elixirs on it and took it to choir practice Thursday. Even unplugged it held its own against a piano, drums, and electric base. Plugged in, it definitely becomes the lead instrument.

I can't be more pleased. I played it for my 4-month old son tonight while he just watched and grinned! :) From what I saw, he has a preference for more of a folk style. Definitely my kid.

As far as I'm concerned, this thing was an absolute steal! :D

I was able to purchase one of those for a friend over a year ago for a great deal also. I was suprised at how nice it projected for a ssb. I have never heard any other non-ovation shallow bowl that can compare.

Congrats and enjoy!
