Are there any significant features designed into an Adams I that would make the tone better than an Adamas II?

I'm looking for a deep body, Adamas 12 string and the idea is to get great tone. On the surface, it appears the Adamas II would sound equivalent to an Adamas I. But I'm really not familiar with an Adamas I so I thought I'd check in with the group that probably knows. There is certainly quite a bit of difference in price.

Thanks Al and Dave. Sounds like for the $$ and my budget, I'm better off waiting and watching for a 12 string Adamas II.

I have never had an Adamas I or II in my hands but from the pictures doesn't the Adamas I have a one piece neck and headstock compared with the traditional multi piece ovation necks, also I read Adamas I bowls were hand laid are the Adamas II bowls also hand laid or production models.
Just curious since I have wondered about the same question stellarjim asked

I have an Adamas I 12string, it´s a real powerful guitar, the loudest I ever had. But I must say that my 1538 Elite has more what one could call TONE. The secrets of all Adamas guitars is the basic construction with a fan bracing, bowl back and offset soundholes, and the extremely tension resistant neck. Adamii and (specially the earlier) Elites have all this.
Right at the moment there is a 1758 Elite on ebay.com, which appears to be in very good shape (take a look the string angle at the bridge, the neck is still in perfect position), but I am not the seller! But if I would not have a similar guitar I would buy this at once. These Elites are completely underrated guitars with really great playability and a rich, wonderful sound, and are very, very high value for the money. I give you the ebay item nr.311029015217.
And if you want to spent little more $$$$...you should consider about an Adamas woodtop!

Al, could they build an Adamas with a Kbar and a handlaid bowl? I would have thought that a Kbar would have necessitated a molded bowl. Interesting, never thought about this before.....
