This is just weird? Every store had #792 listed as the serial number. I don't know what to think???

Early A2's had nothing on the back of the headstock. Later ones had the serial number.

What is the serial number of the guitar you are searching for?

Dave

I don't have the serial number. That is what I'm trying to find so if I find the guitar I can positively identify it. However, the number 792 doesn't really match anything??? Based on the codes, it SHOULD be a 4 or 5 digit number between 6279-13020

WHAT is this number 792 that you keep asking about? Dave Patrick's guitar?

He probably made a typo and his is 9792.

The number 792 is what numerous pawn shops had listed as the serial number. That is not a correct S/N so I'm trying to figure out why more than one place had this number as it had to have been listed somewhere on there
