Only Adamas gets the nice 9158 case. 2. NO NON-cutaway guitars other than the Adamas I and the adamas 12-fretter. BIG MISTAKE. 3. LX has taken over then entire line. GOOD. You almost don't need to call them LX anymore, it's just standard. 4. CONTOUR bowl is available on just about every model. GOOD. My 2005 prediction is still on schedule to become reality. 5. No mention at all about Adamas Custom Shop. They might as well just print "Call Al" right in the price list. Overall, it's a pretty damn impressive list of available guitars. Personally, from a business standpoint I think they should kill about 60% of them and focus on a lot fewer models and get them into shops so people could actually TRY them. And get them into artists hands so people could actually SEE them. And get them into adertise, ments so that people could actually LUST for them. Overall well done, even if the prices did go up. I wonder if they've come up with another case for the VXT? The price now listed for the hard case doesn't equate, in my mind, to the product furnished during the first year of production.

Dave, I agree about the lack of non-cutaways. While I prefer to play a cutaway (and honestly don't notice any reduction in tone), there is a beautiful symmetry in the shape of the non's. Looks like they might be phasing out the full bowls. Maybe that's the unforeseen consequence of your contour bowl prophesy.

If you buy at G.C. or Sam Ash or the like, the case is a non issue, since they'll remove your guitar and sell the case to someone else. No deep bowl, non cutaway? I'll buy used thank you very much.

Custom Elite/Legend to Balladeer all get the 8158/8117. The only deep bowl (non-coutour) left are Adamas 1680/1687 and Custom Legend Al Di Meola signature. I like the streamlined line-up. I guess the LX transition is complete. Maintaining both the LX and Traditional series was getting kind of cumbersome. Now if they can only update the website!!! P.S.: Hamer prices went up too...sigh!
