They are supposed to be a pretty good shop although I really get the feeling they work out of one guy's house. I'll check them out once we get up there.

i am dehydrated from drooling over the guitars on this website for three years now. hey...maybe that's why my singing voice is suffering these days???

Thanks lanaki....Hey Mauvis, they do work out of Paul Heumiller's home.Paul's brother Joe and Al Pettaway all work there together...Paul has his garage enclosed and that is where they keep the guitars.. THEY WERE GREAT TO DEAL WITH...They charge a 50.00 sitting fee which is returned if you purchase a guitar..They represent about 50 Luthier's from all over the world...Thanks for looking...Keith

I did try afew other guitars...2 Hoffmans, 1- Greenfield and 1 used Olson...For what my ear likes the Charis just blew them all away...This guitar sounds like it's running through a 100 watt amp...It really is an incredible sounding piece of work...The owner warned me before he handed it to me...Thank God for second mortgages.As far as I know they didn't have any Kevin Ryan guitars.

Very nice, Keith! Congrats.

Oh the joys of picking up a guitar and having it sing to your heart. I know the feeling and can understand your elation. It's rare, but it happens!

Beautiful instrument you have there. Enjoy.

A fifty dollar sitting fee to be credited towards the purchase.
Pretty proud of their stuff, aren't they?

Congratulations. There are some very nice guitars presented on the website. The beveled edge looks comfy. Some of the inlay work is gorgeous. I'll bet this stuff is really expensive. Can custom luthiers really make a living doing these high end limited run models? Does anybody actually gig with these guitars or are they primarily for showing off, not that there is anything wrong with that, of course!

I will be doing some solo, guitar and vocal, gigs with this guitar as well as demos of my songs with it. The band I'm in right now, I play the drums. We, on occasion, do an acoustic set but I mic my #47 RI for that. As far as their sitting fee, they just started that to prequalify buyers...It is not a music store enviroment. Their market is not 16 year olds playing stairway to heaven...Thanks for all the comments and keep rockin' Keith

I understand the need to select out the Stairway to Heaven tyre kickers.

They seem to have a ton of real high end esoteric stuff. I've always been a little leery of that simply for getting my money back out if I ever decided to do that. That said I did go down for a Tippen Bravado and two Merrills.

Anyhow, Do you know Steve Sutton, a banjo/guitarist from next door in Waynesville? Good player.

The counter-guy at Apple Music's acoustic side said;

"People doing Stairway to Heaven doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as people trying to sing like Neil Young!"

Well there is that, many stores don't allow singing.

Thought you might know Steve. Sometimes also known as Debanjo Rheinhardt. My best friend in the world.
