I came across this just now. I've never seen a guitar top like it. It looks to me like it would be undesirable as far as sound goes. What do you think?

Looks like CDX plywood I'd use to re-roof the tool shed. Probably sounds about as good, too.

That look comes from the radial-cut verneer on top. The way they cut most verneer makes it look like a solid top, but those don't sound any better than this one would.
