Joined: January 2006 Posts: 5881 Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I wish I could take close up photos as well as some of my fellow OFCers, but here are a few more examples of Temp's custom buttons. The first pic shows the layered ivoroid buttons on the custom Koa VXT with the layered ivoroid binding from the Hamer shop. The match is nearly perfect. The headstock also now has a custom Koa TRC thanks to Al and our good friends in New Hartford. The second pic is of Al's Koala guitar with faux tortoise buttons. I was hoping these buttons would match the binding, but they are a bit more brown than red. On the plus, they are a very close compliment to the grain in the Koa top. Now I'm after a walnut set for the OFC guitar. | ||
