I picked up a 1537 locally at a reasonable price given its condition - moderate fret wear and some pretty substantial finish cracks.

It was playable as-was, but with DW likely taking up a lot of Mr. Budny and the crew's time soon, and the fact that the restoration services went away at one point, I figured I'd send it off as soon as I got it.

It got a new top finish, frets leveled, new bridge and epaulets, etc. As John said when he called to say it was ready, "it's basically a new 1537."

I'm very happy with the guitar and the service I received. Not much else to say.

Sorry I don't have detailed pics right now, but here's a quick one.

WOW!!!!!!!

It does look like a Brand New one!!!!
It is Amazing what they can do with such a small crew, and limited resources!!!
It will be Incredble to see what they can do with a fully restored Mothership!!

Congratulations on your *New* Guitar!!!!!
