| I am looking to get a new case for a family member for christmas.. but there's a small problem, I don't know anything about guitars or their cases. How does one know if a case will fit the guitar?
The guitar has this written on it
Ovation Instrument 1121-4
F502
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Since that is an "Artist Depth" bowl, I would guess that you would want a Mid-Depth case.
The Artist Depth bowl is actually a teeny bit smaller than a Mid-Depth,
but that case should work.
These are the Ovation cases... Here!
You would probably want an 8158 or a 9158.
Don't let those prices fool you, I just bought an 8158 for $99.
You might also consider foam case 8358
Those can be had for less also, and they have hard foam support inside.
If you search real hard, the original cases were model brown like an old Samsonite suitcase.
Maybe someone here will have one that they could hook you up with. |

| I'm looking for an original case for my Ultra GP if anyone has one. Or a new one that fits it. Do I have a better chance of finding hen's teeth? lol
I have an old case for it now, but it's not original and was made for something else. It allows the guitar to slide around too much. I have some bubble wrap along side the guitar on both sides to stop the movement but would sure like a decent case. |
