Robert Fripp used to recommend Ovation 1867 Legends, but because they're not made any more, another company came up with an alternative: http://www.guitarcraftguitars.com/index.html
The Guitar Craft ones are interesting because while they've got a round back, they're made of timber instead of Lyrachord.

Another very brief Ovation sighting on CBS Sunday Morning, showing a young Chris Stapleton, a country singer songwriter, holding a white Elite. It might have been one of the Collector's series.
