Hi, Gang.  Long time no haunt.

For the life of me I cannot seem to download photos over here, so I will just write it.  I am selling my coveted Adamas 1680 NWT.

I need to sell this beauty, which I keep putting up for sale and taking down because I REALLY don't want to let her go!  Many of you are familiar with her.  I need the money for medical reasons.  PayPal only please.  $1700 shipped.  Of course guitar doesn't ship until paid in full.  This is a gorgeous guitar.  Plays great, sounds great.   I can do half down now and half down on May 1st via PayPal only, and if you want a layaway, you have to pay as promised because I can't refund your money.  Pristine as they come.  Beautiful, awesome, wonderful instrument. You guys know me and you know this is an awesome deal for a fantastic guitar.  I might consider selling over seas, but you know the cost to ship it is probably something like $300 and that has to be tacked on to the price.

PM me if interested, and thanks.  Try and look here for a photo:  http://www.pbase.com/willa/image/125981894

Hugs & Kisses,

Willa

I wish I could Willa. This is #1 on my wish list, but I'm broke.

More importantly, I hope you get whatever care you need that's put you in the position forcing you to let this go. I'll say some prayers and sincerely wish you the best of luck!

For anyone considering buying this, you will get exactly what Willa promises. And honestly, the 1680 is a guitar you simply cannot go wrong with!

Thanks so much, Patch. And thanks to Arthur for posting the image. I don't really want to sell her but I really do need it for medical expenses as I have no health insurance. Thanks for the help, fellas.

That is the best Adamas I have ever played. I love mine. If anyone does not have one, you need to buy this guitar. It may not have the fancy woodwork, but it is my go to.

I have owned the fancy one, and this one is fancy in its own way. Images don't really show off that lovely copper purfling or whatever it is called, lol. Thanks for the review, Anchbartdude. I really don't want to sell her, but I have to. It is light and wonderful, too. As for the over-seas shipping, I would only charge what it costs to ship it. $300 bucks, which I wrote above is a wild guess. Maybe someone who's done it recently has a better idea of what it would cost. It is indeed a wonderful guitar.

Sad to hear that, Willa. I really with you all the best!!!!

You know I have one as well and it will be one of the last ones I'd sell...

Hello, Bernie! I KNOW, right? I don't want to sell ANYTHING. I keep putting it up and taking it down, lol. It is a beautiful guitar, as you know, light in weight but sturdy, lovely build and as a 12 fret, RARE! If I keep thinking about it, I will end up taking it down again, haha. I hope some one who will love her will consider buying this beauty. Selling guitars is tough ... from all directions! I hope all is well with you, my dear! I can break the layaway into three payments if that helps anyone, and as far as shipping it over seas, I will only charge what it cost me and nothing more.

Good luck, Willa. This is bad timing for me, with a custom Adamas anniversary on the way. The 1680 was one on the short wish-list for me, but there will be no funds for quite a while.

PM sent. I promise to take the very best care of her if I'm not too late! I am truly sorry for the conditions which are pushing you to sell her though. I wish the circumstances were much better and I hope that your condition gets better regardless of the sale!

Congrats Samuels, if it is you...
It is the best of the best for me. Hope to hear what you think. Feeling the tone through the bowl into your body is an awesome thing.

Cheers

It'll be fun to compare it to the Ute.

Other than cosmetics (personal preferences aside) has anyone every owned one of these 1680 AND a U681 at the same time? Wonder in blind test how the sound compares. I know based on paper specs we'll all jump to conclusions one way or the other. Would be an interesting test.

Bernie has both. My first thought was to go back to Germany to compare them. Then I figured Sam could compare his 1680 with my Ute.

Well, I have them both!... And I'm really happy with both of them. They are that kind of guitar I love, 12 frets to Body and a bit wider neck. Soundwise they are very different: The 1680 is louder, wonderfully balanced, bright and clear. The UTE has more sparkle in both directions, the lows and the the highs. First I liked the 1680 more but now the UTE is my Favorite.
I think I wrote a comparison a while back when I got the UTE......
@ Mark: You are always welcome to try them out..., everybody is welcome to have some fun here, delicious wine and good beer.... and great guitars to play!!!!

When I got the 1680 I played a bunch or Adamas models( luckily I had a dealer that had 15 different ones on the floor, maybe that is unheard of, but Mamoth Music in Ak had a Ute, custom A, roadshow A's, ME, MI, WT, and the best O's like AD, collectors on the rack),The 1680 was the fullest sounding, deepest bass, loudest, vibrating your abdomen-est, wide neckiest guitar they had. It will be buried with me....
Sorry for the run on sentence.

Hi WillaMuse & Samuels. Congratulations on the successful transaction. Can't believe I missed this thread back in 2016. Sure hope WillaMuse is doing better, and that Samuels is enjoying the 1680. That really is a wonderful instrument! Came across this thread while researching 12th fret neck jointed Os. Was able to hook up with my 1687av50 and brought it back with me to Japan. Haven't had a lot of time to get acquainted with her yet but am thoroughly impressed with everything about the guitar. Got me all excited about Os with 12th fret neck joints and noticed bburg owned both the 1680 Adamas and the 1687av50 and was wondering how he or all of you folks at the OFC compared the two? Maybe another apples and oranges comparison request? If so...sorry! Your input would be highly cherished. Thanks!

Good to hear from you, Willa, although I wish the circumstances were different. I still fondly remember your contributions at Alison’s get together in South Dakota. Take care.
