Hello - putting my 1979 Adamas I 1687-7 S/N 633-97 up for sale. This is a one owner guitar with minimum wear.

There is no fret wear and no nicks, gouges or corrosion anywhere on the guitar. The only signs of use are a slight darkening up in the cowboy chords area and belt buckle rash on the bowl, as pictured. The '97' frequency is highly desired and the tone is incredible. This guitar is 38 years old and has been played but very sparingly. The photos do not truly portray the actual color of the guitar; it has more of a yellowing/greenish hue in the beige area than my camera could capture. It's absolutely stunning in person.

The guitar was serviced at the mothership several years back and then returned to it's case. It plays perfect, no buzzes or anything like that anywhere on the fretboard. The electronics work perfectly and I will install a fresh 9 volt prior to shipment. All it needs are the strings of your choice although the ones on there haven't been used as the guitar was in storage. The case is in mint condition owing to the fact it was always stored in the Ovation cover. The cover itself has a couple of splits including one 5" one on the back near the zipper but it still works fine.

Price will be $2900 plus shipping. Accepting payment via paypal goods and services. I'd love for this excellent instrument to remain in the Ovation family here at the OFC. It's one of the original Adamas guitars and in very good to excellent condtion. Please PM me with any questions. Thanks, Geo

Looks like this one is going to be sold on eBay as the reserve has been met. Had a couple of nice compliments here but not much interest, not even one offer. I guess we're all spoiled with the new beauties coming out of New Hartford and these former sure fire ones that will sell quick on the OFC are a thing of the past.
