Hey guys, I stumbled upon this website while looking for information on a guitar my dad gave to me. Its an Applause electric with S-S-S pickup, 5 way selector switch, two tone nobs, and one volume nob. It looks like a strat. So what I have gathered so far is it was made in Korea and Applause is a sub brand of ovation?

Anyway I want to "rebuild" the guitar because I already have a black guitar and it definitely needs new wiring/fixed wiring. And I think it would be fun. I guess Im jus looking for general information on the guitar. Like can I get Ovation parts for it? Is it worth it to get Ovation part? The pickups sound pretty good but are they good/quality pickups in the first place, or should I put new ones in?

So any information would really be great, and it really comes down to if its possible or even worth it/ are the original parts quality enough to put in original parts, of should I just buy other guitar companies(Fender) parts for it.

Hope that makes sense and thanks.

It's an Applause solid body. I don't believe they had specific names for those... just 3 -pickup, strat style, applause solid-body.
