Hi all
I just bought an Ovation Pinnacle 371T made in Japan with a large bowl , low action and not cutaway. It plays beautifully
It is a black around the edges of the sound board and like a really dark green towards the sound hole
I believe in was made in 1992
Does anyone know what the T stands for after the model number?
I see lots on the 3712 but nothing on the 371T
Is rhere a manual in English for this Japanese made model?
Or any promotional material?
Thanks Trevor Garland

I believe that the "T" stands for the "texture" of the Top Wood.
Does you guitar top have ripples like this one?

That is what the "T" stands for.

It won’t allow me to copy and paste either
How do I attach the photo please?

Let's see if you can post a photo once you are a Member.
(you are now an OFC member)

You can try the "Attach a file after posting" thingy.
You can also post your photo in the "Albums" section (upper right hand corner)
If all else fails, you can post your photo to another hosting site, then post the address here.

Now that you are a Member you can post this question in the General Posting section.
Many more people can respond there.

Post Away...

I have just posted a copy of my guitar in the album section under Trev’s
Interested to hear your comments
Do you know how much they were when new?
Thanks Trev

Here it goes...

As to Price... The MSRP on a similar Pinnacle 3712 was $850. http://www.ovationfanclub.com/files/prices.asp
But that is probably not what people paid for it back then. Haggling and discounts and such.

Once again, there are only about 6 people who can answer posts in the Welcome Center.
If you want responses from people who might actually OWN a Pinnacle you need to post in General Posting.

Thanks for that
Does the T stand for Torch top?
I have noticed that some ovations are called torch flame tops

Thanks for that
I have done some more research online and have made further assumptions and raised more questions
T5 stands for textured black

Does the T stand for Torch top?
I have noticed that some ovations are called torch flame tops

Through fresh eyes this morning I can see that the lighter colour does indeed look like a torch beam
The 371T doesn’t look like a flame top but does look like a torch
I Imagine my guitar is black even though it looks green in the centre as I cannot find reference to any other colours that it might be
Is the 3712 a shallow body and the 371 a large bowl acoustic? Both are non cutaways and both made in Japan

What is the difference between the 386 and the 371 models?
Thanks Trev
