I notice that both guitars list for the same price. Would I be better served, to have the D scale, and capo 2nd fret to have a standard guitar and then have the option of removing the capo for deeper tones. Seems the D scale will be like having both guitars, or am I missing something? Thanks, Chuck

You could....
But if you capo the D-Scale at the 2nd Fret to create a standard, your 12th fret would be at the body.

But it depends on which kind of music you like to play. And how you like to play.
I once owned a D-Scale Celebrity (DCS247) and a Steinberger Trans-Scale...
You CAN capo them up, but it ain't the same. (I have sold both guitars)

All that said...
If you play in lower tunings, and D-scale can come in handy.

Thanks Arthur, Ok that makes sense. Although most of my acoustic playing consists of open chords the 12th fret should not be a problem. Will do a little more research before I pull the trigger. Thanks, Chuck
