| I’m reposting this with the correct model number and dropping the price.
I’m putting my gorgeous Adamas 1687-8 up for sale. I’m also selling my W597 and would prefer to keep the 1687-8 but I’m not playing it much and need the money. I bought it used a few years ago and I believe based on the serial # 22909 that it’s a 2009 Reissue model. The guitar went to the mother ship for a tune up about a year or so ago. It has one small nick on the bowl that they put some clear plastic fill on for me. It plays and sounds fantastic. Selling it for $2,000 plus shipping or best offer.

| Hey the new owner asked me a question I couldn't answer.
I never used this guitar plugged in. It has two jacks on the bowl.
Does this guitar output in Stereo? Can you only use one 1/4" Jack and get both channels is it does? |

Location: SoCal | the jacks are labeled "mono" and "stereo". Unless he wants to use the stereo feature, just plug into the mono jack. To use the stereo output, he'll need a special plug that then splits the signal and has 2 plugs coming out of it. Each of those can be plugged into a different amp.
I always thought it was a crazy idea, but Ovation used that concept for quite a while. Let him know to check with Al Pepiak, who might have some of the stereo jacks. |

Location: Utah | The jack closest to the edge should be mono, while the jack closest to the center of the bowl should be stereo, if nobody has swapped the jacks around. As moody said, they should be labeled with little metal tags on the jack. Get out your reading glasses, they're hard to see.
The mono output is just the normal deal. The stereo output alternates strings, so the even # strings go to one side while the odd # strings go to the other. It requires the 3 conductor TRS stereo jack. The ground is common between the stereo channels. I like the stereo with the pan set at about 11 o'clock for one channel and 1 o'clock for the other. It gives it some 3D space without being jarring.
Lots of ways to split the stereo signal out. It is just a regular stereo 1/4" cord plugged into the guitar, then use a Y splitter of some sort or plug it into a stereo input to the PA/mixer.
