I think this guitar probably wanted to sleep for a week after Glen got through with it...

A poor, unsuspecting Ovation nylon string versus Glen Campbell and the William Tell Overture.

I'm amazed the guitar wasn't left a smoking ruin!

Did he typically choose the Prismatone after CK developed the Ovation piezo?

He was way beyond whatever aspirations I might have had.

Good eye. I think the Prismatone had a bit of a diterier tone than the originan O PU. Maybe Glen prefered that on the gut string?

Glen had several Country Artists that had Prismatone p/u's that he used at least until 1977. He's playing one in the Royal Festival Hall concerts from that year. He also had a GC Artist that had a Pris that he played on the Goodtime Hour. There's video on youtube, but the only video I ever saw with that guitar, he was playing into a mic. After the GTH, he played steel strings with the Ovation p/u or acoustic only.
