Location: seattle, wa | I have a 1624 with a truss rod cover in 2 pieces. My question is: are there different sizes of black plastic covers?
there is a wood truss rod cover for sale off of a 1976 model in Germany. Would that fit? It's at a crazy price. I'd really just like to find a black plastic one... |

Get a small piece of ebony from a luthier (or a piece of an old pickguard) and a saw and a file. I have custom trussrod covers on most of my guitars, one even made of solid gold. It´s great fun and most of the time the self-made trc´s are of better quality than the old ones.

Location: seattle, wa | you are right. It looks like I am going to have to do that. I am looking at different materials now.
I like the 1157 cover for sale on ebay but I don't know if it would fit. |
