Let's make a deal... If the USA made Adamas returns and we get to do a factory tour can we delete the "Insomniac Pop Quiz"?

That would take a LOT of backtrack research.. and since I am not yet retired with ample time to fizz away on such endeavors, please don't tempt me further!
No.. wait.. make that "please, please, mister" don't temp me further.
Oh, and to add, I fully agree with Al on the last page about the price of Asian imports increasing to the point of overtaking nice pre-owned USA's that are still a better deal at that point of the sale chain. I think we all saw that coming.

If price is not a consideration (or you just like to dream), you will choose the USA Ovation every single time. It is a better quality guitar ... PERIOD.
But many do not have that financial freedom so price IS a factor in the selection. So you need to simply focus on what is the best Ovation that I can buy for the amount of money I'm willing to spend. Don't get hung up on where it is made ... but at the same time don't expect it to rival a USA Ovation just because it looks kinda the same.
I always think of VW vs Porsche. Despite common ownership, They play to different markets just like Asian vs USA Ovations. |
