Hello. Thanks for the forum.
I have a few questions, so I’ll post them separately as instructed in the ‘read this’ Section.
Tell me, is it normal for the nylon and steel malmsteen models’ pups to not work when the batter is dead or removed. I ask cause I have other acoustic electrics with battery powered EQs which do work in these cases, just the EQ doesn’t work. I’m assuming the ovation malmsteen pups are 100% dependent on the battery and do not get powered by the jack connection. Is that right or should it work without a battery?
Thanks!

Ovation Electronics do not work without a battery.
If there is a space for a battery, it needs a battery.

I hope that this is helpful.
