Hello from Kansas. I’ve been playing and collecting guitars for years but this is the first Ovation I’ve ever owned. So far I really love the sound and playability. It’s just an amazing instrument.

Anyways it’s a black 1982 model 1619 in good condition and a very welcome addition to my collection. Pics to come when I get it figured out.

You will need to either be a full member (just ask) or link to the pictures from where they are uploaded such as Instagram or a photo site.

I was under the impression that was what posting your introduction was for. It said something about posting here and a mod will see it and approve you? I wasn’t aware I had to ask for that as I wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t wanted to be a member in the first place.

No worries. We get a lot of drive-by and spam. Just checking to make sure you're a real person. Also, a lot of people have one question, it gets answered and we never hear from them again. Anyway... YOU ARE NOW a FULL MEMBER !!! Free free to roam about the cabin, keep hands and feet inside at all times, etc etc..

I picked this Ovation up at a local shop for under $800 and I’m really enjoying it a lot. It feels a lot more comfortable in the neck than my other acoustics but I still ain’t used to the back sliding around when I’m seated.

The bowl sliding is a common thread of people who have played "box" guitars. I guess it comes from a lot of things. My right arm doesn't put any pressure/ barely touches the guitar at any point when seated. The guitar is perpendicular to the ground when I sit. Others have issues. They came out with the contour which helps most... and they even have a Dreadnaught now.. Enjoy !!!! It sure it purty.
