Hi,
Great to find this form!
Big Ovation fan here!
I have a question as the title says.

I have been toying with an idea of replacing a 1986 20th Anniversary collectors series Ovation guitar that was stolen some years ago and never recovered.

The above mention Ovation guitar I had was superb in play-ability and sound.
I had a balladeer recently, but I moved it on to a solo gigging musician, so that was satisfying-he loves it.

I found a few sellers in the US (I'm in Australia) who are willing to sell me theirs plus shipping. The overall cost is about $1500 US.

Here in Australia good Ovation US models are hard to find-and very expensive.

To all the Ovation fans, is the cost justified for a 36 year old Ovation? Am I being nostalgic on the quality I remember of the guitar?
cheers

Once you get the guitar, just forget what paid for it.
I own a few Ovations that are older than 36years.

Only a few members can respond in the Welcome Center, so I have "upgraded" your status.
You may post in other sections.
