I wonder about the use of truss rods and K-bars in the early slothead, Adamas, and their re-issues. I think the original few slotheads had truss rods, whereas production Adamas had K-Bar. If that was so, how about their RIs? I know my 1687 RI has a K-Bar as it is heavy as heck, but what about the red 1187 #47 RI?

The 1187 #47 RI has a truss rod and is very light. Of course, part of that is because it is all acoustic with no electronics.

I´m quite sure that k-bar necks are normally the bolt-on type and trussrod necks are set necks. The 47 RI has a set neck, is very light thus I`m convinced that this guitar (and all other OVs with set necks) has a classic trussrod neck.

Does it have the Advanced Neck System (ANR) with the duel truss rods? That was being phased in at the time of the 47RI. My GC RI has it.....
