I was wondering if anyone has heard the sound produced by tapping on the lyrachord itself. Did you have a lyra chord back that was separarted from the sound top or toured the Ovation factory and actually had the opportunity to tap the lyrachord? Did the sound seem like an echo in a cave? Or what did sound remind you of? I viewed a video of a well known steel string luthier tapping the Brazilian wood plate destined for a new guitar and was taken by the very noticeable tone the tapping produced.
