Hi all!

Glad that there is a site like this with dedicated Ovation fans, was hoping to get some knowledge from those who know more than me. I picked up a Breadwinner project guitar (toroidal single coils) and am a little confused by the pickup mounting. The guitar came to me with the pickups essentially flopping around in the cavities. I can see that they would have been soldered to the mounting plates at one corner, but there is no other attachment to the metal plates that I can see. I can't find any pictures of these pickups that show if there should be some sort of adhesive or something to hold the pickup to the plates. I don't see any residue on the pickups or the plates.

The status of the preamp is still TBD, and I don't know if I will use the original PUs and preamp or just make a new pickguard and put in something mainstream, but I would like to get the original electronics functional in case I want to go down that road.

Thanks in advance,
Greg
