Just found this forum & interested to read some posts.
I've had an Ovation Celebrity since around 2001 or 2002. I bought it off a friend who had had it for a couple years already. Recently it starts to sound weird, as if there's some distortion or similar, when played unplugged. It's not distortion due to the electronics since I hear it unplugged and with the battery out, but sounds like something inside the body is resonating or rattling fast at certain notes. From the outside, nothing looks out of place or damaged. It's super irritating, and distracts me when I play. Any similar experiences? What could be the cause of it?
