My budget is only 600 AUD. Joined: April 2008 Posts: 2985 Location: Sydney, Australia | Hi Angus, Welcome aboard. As a general rule, most people here would suggest a "full" Ovation rather than a Celebrity. Having said that, it appears to me that the quality of Celebrities may be improving (often having solid tops rather than ply). Also, come and visit the other Aussies at The Downunder Page . You'll need to complete a new registration to contribute, but we welcome new members. | ||

Joined: February 2004 Posts: 1634 Location: Warren,Pa. | If those are your 2 choices, I would get the Elite. It has the deep contour bowl for a bigger sound than the mid bowl. The OpPro is a way better preamp...and the Elite has a solid spruce top. That Spalted Maple top is very nice to look at, but it's a laminated top. Those 3 differences make the Elite a better guitar. ...and Welcome Jamo! | ||
