I was directed to this website by a technician at Ovation because I contacted them trying to get information about a 1615 Ovation that my father left me when he passed away. The gentleman suggested I join this site, as it would have possible members interested in buying the guitar, or at least who could approximate its value. Thank you.

Keep the guitar, it's a family heirloom.

@GeoStorm, thank you for your input, but my Daddy wanted me to sell his guitars and put the money into an account for my daughter's college education, so I feel I'm doing what he wanted me to do.

Fair enough...I inherited some Ovations too. Different situation though, these ones will be handed down, but not yet.

Best of luck and sorry about your Dad, take care.

Well, it has been almost a year now, so it is getting easier, thank you! I am keeping the one that he always played and giving it to my daughter, because that maybe her only memory of him. She was only 2 when he passed, and I have a video of her trying to play it, with his voice in the background. I still tear up every time she finds it on my phone and plays it, but it is a wonderful memory.

Chrysti,
Sorry about your loss, but back to your original question. I don't know if you can do searches on this site from the Welcome section, but if you can, do some searches for 1615s and Pacemakers, especially in the For Sale section.
Value is hard to determine. It depends a lot on condition and timing. I've seen them in Pawn Shops for $400 and up, but don't know what they actually sold for. Your best bet would be to search ebay for other 1615 sales, especially if you find any under Completed listings.

Does it look like this one?

This one on ebay recently for $810 - that would likely be the high end these days.
