I had a dream where leon russell was singing it. (I should be dreaming of hot naked bimbos) anyway I was rather sad to see this. Delaney and bonnie were blue eyed soul to the nth degree. (funny how superstar is attributed to leon russell and bonnie bramlett yet this article says delaney had his hand in it and other articles say rita coolidge had her hand in it also, and it was about an affair she had with clapton)

(funny how superstar is attributed to leon russell and bonnie bramlett yet this article says delaney had his hand in it and other articles say rita coolidge had her hand in it also, and it was about an affair she had with clapton) . ." Back in "That Time", they all had a hand (and other bodily appendages) in EVERYthing (and each other). Those was sum CrazyDaze . . . To this day, whenever I hear the end (the FIRST "end", mind you) of "DeltaLady" on th"MadDogs" album, when an out-of-breath Cocker just blurts-out a drunken, "rock&roll . . ." . . . and then gives a little chuckle, it ALWAYS makes me smirk. Those Delaney&Bonnie(&Friends)Days were also a HUGE influence on George Harrison and was where he developed his slide technique. Sorry t'HearThis. RestWell.

I have been recently adding more of there stuff to my collection. Just got the "Motel Shot" cd a few weeks ago. Lots of people on it playing with them. Duane Allman, Eric Clapton, Leon Russel, Dave Mason, Clarence White, Gram Parsons, Joe Cocker & even people like Buddy Miles. There were no drums, Miles & others thumped on a briefcase. This was totally an improptu recording done in the living room of Bruce Botnick in LA. Alot of the people on there went on to be in the Mad Dogs & Englishman. I beleive Delaney was a session musician on the Carson show before going out with Clapton & others. http://books.google.com/books?id=r6tcANOY93sC&pg=PA34&lpg=PA34&dq=motel+shot&source=bl&ots=3ZhVG4xIoj&sig=t54Ep-nusWRuqpbT73JCv91BtS8&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=6&ct=result#P PA36,M1 Wally

It was Delaney who inspired Eric Clapton to sing more, and inspired George Harrison to do his gospel (Chiffon sounding hit) My Sweet Lord. He was quite an influence on our music.
