Hi
This eBay item leads my mind in two directions - the suspicious voice in my head ( who has seen some really preposterous pitches on eBay)directs my mind in one direction. But the compassionate voice in my heart leads me in another direction.

I dont need another Ovation , so I'll pass this item, but since life is mostly a series of decisions, I have decided to feel good about compassion and charity , and accept the story on face value

Nothing quite like a good story to help make a profit on a guitar. Interestiing....to say the least!

The guy is scaring away his customers. I doubt there are many "Goth" types who care about Ovations. If he said the guitar was owned by Mary Poppins he might get some bidders. Cheers, Buck
ps. how'd he get my picture?

I asked some basic what model, what issues, have any real pictures. This is what I got:

"The condition is empeckable. Very Very nice condition. If you asked me I would say it was brand new. Im not totally sure of the model # though, all I know is it is Ovation. It also has the little thing with the built in tuner and equalizers with volume control on the side of it. And, its black."

Run, Forrest, run!

I guess he can't be bothered to LOOK IN THE SOUNDHOLE and read the label. Because I can read "Celebrity" in the picture, myself....

Don't waste your time or money on this....if it isn't a scam, it's a guitar that is overpriced....

I'm not POSITIVE, but I'm pretty sure I've seen that picture of that guy somewhere else . . .

. . . and he wasn't playing an Ovation . . .

The guy's picture was taken in Boulder, Colorado by Photographer Julie Harris.

Like I said, Forrest, run.

OK,OK, since I started this thread, I have to ask; what happended to this eBay advertisement ?

The picture of the homeless man has changed - is this due to clever (or funny) hacking, or am I missing something (again) ?

This is either a JOKE, or just WEIRD. No potential buyer that has seen this auction since the beginning could take it seriously.

I received two phone cam pictures from the Seller when I asked for "real" pics. I got the story that used the other because of availability.

The othe pic was a very grainy black Ovation.

Yeah, I vote "overpriced". Never argue with someone's delusional system.......just pisses 'em off.
