if i post a gauge question, act like a moron and challenge you all to a fight. can i come in? i feel like the big bad wolf... little club little club let me in!!!! NOT BY THE STRINGS OF MY OHH VA...TION ! seriously, i have a case of bud light and a umm.. half a box of ho-ho's as a bribe. oh crap... this is a sam adams site, oh well, i'll slither off to the takamine fan club...crap, they don't have one. guess you guys are stuck with me.

Hey, I've been pretending to be a guitar player here for as long as I can remember. Welcome, whoever the heck you aren't!

My soap Box on string gauge/gage:

Acoustics need the mass of 13-56 but thats not always practical for style and experience.

I play my Electrics like they were acoustics so I lean toward the 10-48 with a wound "G". I also have to remind myself not to mash the lighter strings.

I have strung acoustics with .078-.014s and as enjoyable as it is you end up playing alone cuz it just ain't normal.

BTW, IP addresses are the new fingerprints of life.
