Location: Upper Left USA | As I was posting about how much I am enjoying the snow here in Western Washington, a rarity to stick for more than one day, I remembered something else.
The Homeless are hardest hit.
So, here's a thought or two:
- Clean out a closet or storage space today instead of shopping for presents and set aside some donatable goods such as blankets, coats, camping gear, toiletries and give them to a shelter or Thrift Store.
- Make a donation and put the receipt in a christmas Card as a gift to someone you would normally give a Fruitcake to.
- Go through your closet and take out the clothes that you know won't fit after the Holidays.
- Give your kids a check for $50 and a list of charities or agencies that they can choose which to give it to.
Now you have more storage space for those guitar cases... |

Give it to that dude/chick sleeping in the doorway.
Or throw it in the trunk and give it away when you see someone.
I think of a guy whose last name is Ingram who gave me an Army coat in the snow in Atlanta, 1987.
(Had his name over the pocket... Black Cat squad.) |
