1861LX SSB Balladeer
Author: arthurseery (Show all albums)

I bought this from eBay. The strings were very high, and it needed a Neck Reset. Since LX Series have a bolt-on neck joint I figured that I could fix it myself. I put a shim made out of credit card material under the fingerboard extension and a little piece on the Neck Block to give it a little tweek.

New Guitar Day

This is the "after" photo. The string height was much higher, plus the fingerboard dipped very steeply towards the sound-hole. I put some "shims" made of credit card material under the fingerboard, and a little piece of cc material on the "block" on the neck joint. Seems to work okay. Strings are EJ26 Custom Lights.

Oh Damn! I broke it.

This is the Joint. You cannot see it, but there is a Single bolt-hole for a Super Shallow neck joint.
